Escape barriers prevent fish from jumping out of the tank. In addition, they reduce impact against the edge and help prevent injuries to the fish.
We supply escape barriers with extra padding that provides additional protection against injury. Many also choose to pad equipment that extends into the tank, such as pipes with edges, automatic feeders, etc.
We also cover walkways, both to prevent injuries to fish that hit edges, to avoid deaths caused by fish jumping onto the walkway and becoming stranded, and to reduce stress. Movements of people on the walkway can be perceived as a threat and increase stress levels in the fish.
The escape barrier is made of polyester-coated PVC fabric in the color of your choice. The fabric is easy to clean and can be repaired if damaged. We can also supply sections with transparent fabric so that it is possible to see into the tank.
PVC is a flexible material to work with, and we can easily create openings that can be closed when needed with Velcro or zippers.
The escape barrier is either attached to the tank wall, or we use support legs and wire.
